Summer festival on tap at Concordia Lutheran Ministries

The 143rd annual Concordia Lutheran Ministries Summer Festival will be from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the Lund Care Center backyard, 134 Marwood Road, Jefferson.

The event is open to the public and admission and parking are free. A picnic lunch will be served beginning at 12:30 p.m. and the Pittsburgh Doo Wop Big Band will be featured at 1:30 p.m. There will be a car cruise, picnic-themed food, activities and a fishing derby for children 12 and younger. Food tents will accept cash only. The Rev. Barry Keurulaien will be the featured speaker at a 4 p.m. worship service.

The Gibbons Big Band will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Apollo First Lutheran Church, 214 N. Pennsylvania Ave. as part of the church summer concert series.

James Hunter to perform Sunday at Hartwood Acres

The free 2024 Allegheny County Summer Concert series will feature James Hunter with Jax Hollow at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, 4070 Middle Road, Hampton.
