The Sewickley Sleigh pop-up bar is back for a second year.

Located in the courtyard of the Sewickley Quarter, a bar, restaurant and French Quarter-inspired wedding venue on Beaver Street, the space is adorned with holiday decorations.

“People really loved it so we opened earlier this year,” said owner Hannah Di Cicco. “I think people love having a pop-up holiday bar in the suburbs and not having to drive into the city. Some people live close enough that they can walk home.”

The pop-up popped up on Nov. 27.

There will be items such as pizza and wings for sale as well as peppermint expresso martinis and gingerbread old fashioneds.

Sewickley company The Balloonicorns created a balloon arch for the opening of the pop-up. Pittsburgh-based The Cheerful Balloon Co. will be on site with balloon twisting during the breakfast with Santa Claus event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 7, which will also have face painting and live music.

General admission is free. There is a $20 charge, $15 in advance, for photos with Santa at the Quarter event.

Tickets are available online.

The pop-up bar will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday through the end of December.

The restaurant, led by executive chef Erika Holtz, will also be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Reservations are recommended.

“I am a Christmas fanatic,” DiCicco said. “The earlier to begin celebrating the better. It’s a lot of fun.”
