Bernard W. Solomon, 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Walden's View. He was born March 21, 1936, in Larimer, to the late Andrew and Margaret (Hawk) Solomon. He was a Certified Photogrammetrist and the owner of Aerial Design Data Mapping Company. Bernie was a member of St. Agnes Church of North Huntingdon; North Huntingdon High School class of 1954; Served as Planning Commissioner for North Huntingdon Township for over 35 years; was a member of WBCCI Wally Byam Caravan Club International, AL-MON-O Unit; The Barber Shop Chorus Harmony Sounds; McKeesport Barbershop Quartet Chorus Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America; the Westmoreland Esquires Drum and Bugle Corps; and a member of B.P.O.E. No. 3113 of Norwin. In addition to his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Carl Solomon; a son-in-law, L. David Jones; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Daniels. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dolores A. (Schmidt) Solomon; three children, Craig Solomon (Jennifer Morrow) of White Oak, Karen Solomon Jones of Houston, TX, and Chris Daniels (D. Randy) of North Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Timothy Daniels (Louise), Steven Daniels (Lydia), Kellie Daniels, and Dr. William Jones (Dr. Tyler Young); and two great-grandchildren, Theodore and Alexander Daniels. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024, at OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin. Parting prayers will take place in the funeral home on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
