Patricia R. "Patty" Nedley-Walters-Bierer, 60, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, after a long and courageous bout with cancer. She ultimately won this battle and acquired the peace that she sought out. She was born Feb. 11, 1963, in Long Beach, Calif., and raised in Hannastown, Pa. Patty worked at Heinnickel's Butcher Shop among many other places throughout her life before retiring from the University of Pittsburgh of Greensburg from food service. She enjoyed a good cookout and spending time with family and friends. She also loved traveling to Lake Erie as often as possible, as it was her favorite place in the entire world. Most of all, for those who did not know her as Patty, she was Mom, a shepherd of sorts, and always looking after her flock. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia A. Nedley and Thomas L. Nedley; her brother, Jeffery W. Nedley; and her first husband, Robin L. Walters, with whom she had two children who she adored. Patty is survived by husband, Jeffery Bierer; her sons, Cody and Cory Walters; her brother, Thomas D. Nedley; stepchildren, Amanda and husband, Bill Bompiani, and Josh Bierer. She also survived by her very loving dog, Zuri, who had been with her through her journey; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Patty's family has entrusted her care to the PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., Greensburg. For online condolences / directions, visit us at pantalone.com. Natale N. Pantalone, supervisor.
