Carol A. Welsh (82), beloved and devoted wife and mother passed away peacefully with her husband Regis Welsh lovingly by her side. After a long struggle with dementia, she felt the angels call her home on the morning of Monday, May 27, 2024. Carol was born December 20, 1941, in Ohio Township, Pennsylvania. She grew up with her parents, Margaret and Joseph Hack, and her two brothers, Jerry and Bobby. She attended Avonworth High School and graduated in the class of 1959. Carol went on to meet the true love of her life, Regis Welsh, on a family trip to Tionesta Lake. They fell in love and married June 10, 1961, and went on to be a committed married couple for nearly 63 years. Carol helped put Regis through dental school by working as a secretary at Gulf Oil Corporation. Later on, she would work as his Dental Assistant and Office Manager. She was an active member of the Sewickley Hunt Club and loved spending time in her barn with her hunting horses. Those horses were even once featured in an article in the Sewickley Herald and that brought her even more joy. Her love of travel and meeting new people was evident as she opened her family home to countless Exchange students and Camp Counselors that came through Quaker Valley Senior High School and the local Sewickley YMCA. She is survived by her husband Dr. Regis Welsh (86), her firstborn daughter Sharon Welsh and her family, her second daughter, Kristine 'Krissy" Miller and her family, and her third child, Daniel Regis Welsh and his family. She is also survived by her younger brother, Jerry. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31st, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Moon Township. She will be buried at Holy Souls Cemetery. All family and friends are welcome.
