May 7, 2024 is National Teacher Appreciation Day! A day to celebrate and uplift the work of our educators.

Teachers commit their lives to pouring into our young people, because they are the future. The young smiling faces we see entering Kindergarten classes and beyond are our next lawyers, doctors, engineers of tomorrow. Teachers play a huge role in the trajectory of tomorrow's society.

While May 7th was a day to honor all teachers, May 9th was a moment to shine a light on Black teachers.

Urban Academy of Greater Pittsburgh Charter School is a school that believes in love, compassion, and care.

Let's utilize this time to celebrate teachers today and everyday.
