The Pittsburgh Penguins released their preseason schedule Monday, featuring seven games — three at PPG Paints Arena and four on the road — beginning with a Sept. 21 contest vs. the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center.

On Sept. 24, the Penguins will host the Sabres for their second preseason game, followed by one against the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena on Sept. 28.

From Detroit, the Penguins will head to Elliot Lake, Ontario, for a meeting with the Ottawa Senators in the 2024 Kraft Hockeyville Preseason Game.

Information regarding the hockey rink and puck drop have yet to be announced.

Previously, the Penguins participated in two Kraft Hockeyville games, including the inaugural event held at Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown in 2015, as well as in 2017 at the Rostraver Ice Garden in Belle Vernon.

Following their trip to Northern Ontario, the Penguins play the Red Wings at PPG Paints Arena on Oct. 1 and travel to Nationwide Arena to face the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 3.

The Blue Jackets return to PPG Paints Arena on Oct. 4 for the Penguins’ final preseason game.

All Penguins preseason games, save for the Kraft Hockeyville contest, are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Note: The Penguins host their prospect development camp from July 6-10 at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry. Featuring five days of practice and culminating with a 4-on-4 tournament, all action is open to the public, free of charge. Penguins prospects such as 2023 first-round pick Brayden Yager, 2022 first-rounder Owen Pickering, as well as Tristan Broz, fresh off a 2024 national championship with the University of Denver, Cruz Lucius and Ville Koivunen are expected to be in attendance. A full development camp roster will be released by the Penguins at a later date.
