Blawnox Cookie Tour and Night of Lights
The annual Best of Blawnox Cookie Tour is set for 1-4 p.m. on Dec. 2.
Maps can be picked up at the Veteran’s Monument at the intersection of Freeport Road and North Avenue that will list businesses involved in the tour. More than 20 vendors have signed up.
The event transitions into the borough’s Night of Lights from 4-6 p.m.
Families can decorate ornaments for the borough tree or take them home. Santa is expected to arrive at the monument around 5:30 p.m., just in time for the tree lighting.
Festivities continue at the Hoboken Presbyterian Church along North Avenue with face painting, temporary tattoos, a balloon artist and more cookies.

Aspinwall Light Up Night
Aspinwall will host its 2023 Light Up the Wall on Dec. 2 from 5-7 p.m.
The family-friendly. outdoor event will feature a visit from Santa, carolers, face painting, airbrush tattoos, hot chocolate and more.
Fireworks are scheduled for 7 p.m. at the borough building on Commercial Avenue.
Cookie fest
The Cooper-Siegel and Sharpsburg Community Libraries will host their First Annual Cookie Walk Fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 9 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Cooper-Siegel branch at 403 Fox Chapel Road.
Hundreds of homemade cookies will be for sale at $8 a dozen.
Sharpsburg winter banners
Sharpsburg is looking for people to help to purchase a banner and then decorate it for a celebration of winter.
The invitation is open to all ages.

O’Hara holiday light recycling
O’Hara Township has partnered with Michael Brothers Hauling & Recycling to be an official drop-off location to recycle unwanted holiday lights.
The bin is in the lobby of the township building at 325 Fox Chapel Road. Lights can be dropped off Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Any holiday lights are eligible to be recycled.
Fox Chapel toy collection
Sergeant Craig Sorg and the Fox Chapel Police Department are working with the Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League’s Stuff-a-Store to collect new, unwrapped toys for children this holiday season.
Toys will be accepted through Friday, Dec. 1 and can be placed in the giant, wrapped present boxes at Beechwood Farms, 614 Dorseyville Rd.; the main lobby of the Fox Chapel Borough Building, 401 Fox Chapel Road; B&Z Deli, 3390 Saxonburg Blvd.; and the Cooper-Siegel Community Library, 403 Fox Chapel Road.
Glitter and Glow
The Fox Chapel Garden Club will host its Glitter and Glow sale and auction from 7-9 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Fox Chapel Golf Club, 426 Fox Chapel Road.
Fresh arrangements will be for sale, and people can bid on auction items.
Tickets cost $35 and proceeds benefit the mission of the Garden Club and the community.
