Hampton deer management
Since the early 2000s, Hampton has implemented an archery deer management program on township -owned property. As development expands, the deer’s natural habitat is diminishing, and overpopulation has led to a rise in vehicle accidents, the potential for Lyme disease cases, and property damage.
To promote community safety and well-being, the township is offering homeowners the opportunity to have an approved archer come onto their property and help manage the deer population.
Property owners must have at least 5 acres to qualify for the program. For more information, contact Sgt. Jeff Haus at 412-486-0400, ext. 1337, or email jeff.haus@hampton-pa.org.
