This month’s concert schedule includes one of the latest shows ever at the Pavilion at Star Lake, an appearance from Keanu Reeves and the final tour from the Eagles. Here’s a look at the most notable shows coming to the area in October:

Top shows

Oct. 3: Lana Del Rey at the Pavilion at Star Lake

Singer Lana Del Rey is making her first Pittsburgh appearance, and fans made it a quick sell-out on this limited fall run of 10 shows.

Known for haunting, evocative lyrics and songs, Del Rey released her ninth studio album, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” in March.

“The secret to Lana is that she’s exactly who she is,” producer Jack Antonoff told the Hollywood Reporter. “She’s really one of the greatest songwriters and vocalists who also likes to roll around in her truck and drink gas-station coffee. That can disarm people, but there’s no bit.”

Oct. 6: Dogstar at Mr. Smalls

Dogstar — featuring superstar actor Keanu Reeves on bass with drummer Robert Mailhouse and guitarist/lead vocalist Bret Domrose — are releasing their first new music and launching their first real tour in more than 20 years.

The new album, “Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees,” comes out on Oct. 6, so this show could serve as an unofficial album release show.

“(Reeves is) so melodic in the way that he plays. He has so much melody and has such good taste,” Mailhouse told Hearst Connecticut. “On this particular album, he wrote so much of the riffs and verses.”

Oct. 15: The Eagles, Steely Dan at PPG Paints Arena

The Eagles are embarking on their farewell tour, dubbed the Long Goodbye, after more than 50 years together.

Founding member Don Henley will be joined by longtime guitarist Joe Walsh and bassist Timothy B. Schmit, as well as Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, who were both hired to replace Glenn Frey after he died in 2016.

Walsh, who joined in 1975, isn’t too concerned about the future of music, particularly artificial intelligence.

“It’s computers. It has nothing to do with music,” Walsh told the Associated Press. “It can’t destroy a hotel room. It can’t throw a TV off the fifth floor into the pool and get right in the middle. When AI knows how to destroy a hotel room, then I’ll pay attention to it.”
