Henry T. Ciesielski, 79, of Lower Burrell, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Oct. 14, 1943, in New Kensington, to the late Henry and Dorothy Kanzic Ciesielski. Henry served as a sonar technician in the Navy on the USS Corporal SS346 submarine during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Cold War. He enjoyed gardening, riding his tractor, fishing and long drives with his wife. Henry also was dedicated to his grandchildren; you would often find him cheering them on at their many events. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Ciesielski. Henry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne Jedlowski Ciesielski; children, Tracy (Robert) Mehal, Matthew (Jennifer) Ciesielski and Cathy (Michael) Capizzi; two brothers, Richard (Bonnie) Ciesielski and Mark (Judy) Ciesielski; and grandchildren, Erika (David Nathaniel) Mazur, Zachary (Heather) Mazur, Michael (Kelly Anthony) Mazur, Lucas and Mason Ciesielski, and Andrew, Nathan and Avery Capizzi.
