A Wilkinsburg woman being pursued by police was traveling at least 80 mph Monday afternoon through residential areas of North Huntingdon, according to court papers.
Magdelena Ludwig, 27, was denied bail during her Tuesday arraignment on charges of fleeing from police, resisting arrest and numerous drug counts. Township police said the pursuit started in Pitcairn and moved into Irwin, North Huntingdon and Adamsburg around 1:30 p.m.
The Kia Soul Ludwig was driving was stopped by officers’ patrol cars as she attempted to drive the wrong way onto an off-ramp for Route 30 near Adamsburg, according to court papers. Police said they arrested her at gunpoint.
Numerous drugs, including 248 bags of heroin/fentanyl, a bag of suspected raw heroin, 114 Xanax pills and $2,000 in cash were seized from the vehicle, according to court papers.
Ludwig was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison. She did not have an attorney listed in online court records. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 31. Police said in court papers the pursuit stemmed from multiple warrants out for Ludwig’s arrest.
