Plum issues telemarketing warning
Plum issued a warning recently to residents concerning telemarketers.
In an alert, the borough said it had been made aware of telemarketers contacting residents seeking donations for the borough’s volunteer fire departments.
The Holiday Park, Logans Ferry, Renton and Unity departments raise money through mailings, not by phone, the borough said.
Plum police had no reports of theft or any money lost, Det. Joe Little said.
Residents were advised to stay vigilant and avoid falling for such fraudulent activity.
