Golf scramble fundraiser to aid Fun and Freedom
Fun and Freedom will host its 14th annual golf scramble Aug. 17 at Hiland Golf Course, 106 St. Wendelin Road, Summit Township, Butler County.
Check-in will begin at 7 a.m. and players should arrive by 7:30 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be served. The shotgun start will be at 8 a.m.

Local food bank seeking donations
The Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank currently needs donations of non-perishable food and household items.
Products most needed include toilet paper, paper towels, feminine products, diapers in sizes 4, 5, 6 and 7; canned vegetables, fruit, beef stew, ravioli, tuna, chicken and soups; boxed side dishes, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, boxed cereal and sugar-free and gluten-free items.
