A new Shake Shack location will be coming to Pittsburgh International Airport, following the chain’s first location in the region opening in the Strip District in May.

The chain previously noted plans for upcoming locations in East Liberty and North Fayette.

The planned airport location is part of 15 new stores and restaurants announced Tuesday, alongside the airport’s $1.57 billion terminal project, officials said in a statement.

Some of the new concessions will be opening in the airport’s new terminal, scheduled to open next year, including in pre-security locations. Most, the airport said, will be opening in the Airside Terminal from which all of the airport’s arriving and departing flights operate.

Wexford-based coffee and tea house Café Conmigo, along with national brands Jimmy John’s, Sambazon Acai Bowls, breakfast restaurant Bad Egg, deli Stack +Press Delicatessen, Mexican restaurant Mi Casa Cantina and Camden Food Market will be coming to the airport.

Champion City Sports, cosmetics chain MAC and local artisan gifts store Duquesne & Co are among the new retailers slated to open in the airport.

Some existing concessions, like Johnston & Murphy and InMotion, are undergoing full renovations. InMotion plans to open an additional larger store with a particular focus on Apple products.

“More shopping and dining choices have been a top request from our travelers, and we are excited to introduce 15 new concessions that complement the construction of our new terminal and airside renovations,” said Bryan Dietz, senior vice president of Air Service and Commercial Development, in a statement.

More information on locations, operating hours and opening dates is expected at a future date.
