A Christmas Eve communion service will take place at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 24. Childcare is available for infants through preschool-aged children.

The Christmas Day communion service will be a traditional service at 10 a.m. Dec. 25. No childcare or kids’ programming is available.

A traditional Sunday service will take place at 9 a.m. Dec. 31. A modern service will be held at 11:15 a.m. A kids’ pajama party will ring in the new year — wear your favorite pajamas.

Sunday Services are 9 a.m. (traditional) and 11:15 a.m. (modern).

Christmas Eve/Day Mass times are 4:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and midnight (choir prelude begins at 11:15 p.m.) at St. James, and 5 and 8 p.m. at St. Mary.

From Dec. 26-29, Mass will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday at St. James and 9 a.m. Wednesday and Friday at St. Mary.

There will be no Adoration Dec. 25-30 or Jan. 1. There will be Adoration until midnight Dec. 31.

St. James will hold services at 8 and 11 a.m. New Year’s Eve and St. Mary will hold a New Year’s Eve service at 9:30 a.m.

On New Year’s Day, St. Mary will hold Mass at 9 a.m.

North Way Sewickley Valley

North Way Sewickley Valley is a family-friendly Christian community offering services at 9:15 and 11 a.m. each Sunday. Kids Church is available at both services for children from birth to fifth grade. Autism Ministry support is also available for children from preschool to eighth grade with pre-­registration.

Sewickley United Methodist Church

The Sewickley United Methodist Church has two services each Sunday: 9 a.m. contemporary, featuring our praise band Leap of Faith; and 11 a.m. traditional, with nursery care and children’s ministries during both services. The church is a reconciling congregation and openly welcomes all people.

St. Brendan’s Episcopal Church

St. Brendan’s is an open, welcoming and active church that holds in-person worship with Eucharist at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sundays, and 6 p.m. Wednesdays. The Sunday 10 o’clock service is also livestreamed on YouTube. Sunday School and nursery coverage are available for children at the 10 a.m. service. A Children’s Service is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10 a.m. in which young members actively participate in various aspects of the liturgy.

This year’s Christmas Eve service is set for 7 p.m. Dec. 24. On the same day, the Fourth Sunday of Advent will be celebrated with a service at 9 a.m. only. There will be no service on Christmas Day.

The Modern Episcopalians group, which explores the history, faith and worship of the church, is on a break over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. It will resume sometime in January on Thursdays at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

Conversation classes for English as a Second Language adults are continuing. Two levels are being offered via Zoom on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and on Wednesday evenings. New students are invited to participate and new volunteers are always welcome, no experience is necessary.

Morning Prayer is offered at 8 a.m., Monday through Friday, via Zoom. Bible Study is held at 11 a.m. Tuesdays via Zoom. Contact the office for links.
