Paul L. Myers, 91, of Vandergrift, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Kittanning. Born May 18, 1931, in Harwick, he was a son of Clyde Myers and Helen (Fosnaught) Myers. Paul worked as a steelworker for Allegheny Ludlum in West Leechburg for 20 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, and member of the former Vandergrift Church of God, where Paul served in the choir. Paul enjoyed gardening, woodworking, hunting and fishing. Paul made incredible sauerkraut that he offered to friends and family. He loved singing, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David S. Myers; siblings, John, Evelyn, Helen, Joseph, Clyde, William, Harry and Mabel; and infant siblings, Garnet and Mildred. Paul is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sylvia A. (Osmer) Myers; sons, Paul W. (Margie) Myers, of Bradford Woods, and Steven R. (Donna) Myers, of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Carol (Keith) Flaute, Lisa (Stew) Silvis, Angela (Marvin) Sipahelut, Daniel (Amanda) Myers, Christine (Robert) Glover, Chad (Ashley) Myers and Corey Myers; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom Myers, of Spring Church, Florence Robertson, of Leechburg, and Louis (Linda) Myers, of Russelton; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, in the BRADY-CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2023, in the funeral home with Pastor R.J. Hesketh officiating.
