My wife and I attended a concert recently in Greensburg’s St. Clair Park. We are in our late 80s, and my wife is recovering from a broken shoulder, so it was not an easy task. The place was jammed with people even though we went over an hour early. We had to park above the park. No problem getting there, but it did enter our minds about getting back up the hill; we figured we’d worry about that later.

Good concert, and then it was time to go home. We started up the hill with our two chairs and a small cooler, and took a break. We had several offers for help, but we declined. Then a young couple with two young children would not take “no” for an answer. They took all our belongings and waited at the top of the hill for us. The rest of the walk was downhill, and I said we could handle it. They said they were taking us to our car, which they did.

So, if this Penn-Trafford couple reads this, I want to say, “Thanks again.” And to Greensburg and the surrounding area, I just wanted to share our experience.
