Wahlburgers closing in North Hills
The Wahlburgers restaurant along Northway Drive in Ross is closing permanently.
The restaurant said in a Facebook post Thursday that its last day of business would be Saturday. It plans to shut its doors for good at 6 p.m.
But by lunchtime Friday, the restaurant had run out of food and closed early, according to another post.
The restaurant opened in 2017 in the Block Northway Shopping Mall. It was the chain’s first location in Pittsburgh.
The chain’s Robinson location will remain open.
1 injured in crash in Castle Shannon
One person was injured early Friday in a crash along Hamilton Road in Castle Shannon.
Castle Shannon police said in a Facebook post that a driver became trapped in their vehicle after crashing into a pole in the 1300 block of Hamilton Road. Emergency workers freed the driver from the vehicle and took him to a hospital.
Police said Hamilton Road was temporarily closed from Route 88 to McRoberts Road.
Derry Township teen found
State police said they found a teen who had been previously reported missing from Derry Township.
Police put out an alert for the public to keep an eye out for Trenton James Hughes, 16, after he hadn’t been seen since 7:35 p.m. Thursday.
They updated their post on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying he was found safe around 8:45 a.m.
