This weekend, we’ll get to find out whether Phil’s bringing us an early spring or six more weeks of this already-too-long winter. Whatever the weather, here are some things to do around town.
Brigid
This weekend is a holiday honoring Celtic goddess and Catholic saint Brigid, so come join a musical celebration. The event will feature Grammy Award-winning Eileen Ivers, Pittsburgher Katie Grennan, TikTok famous Ally the Piper, Riverdance’s first Black dancer Morgan Bullock, The Harp Twins and more.
A project of the Pittsburgh Irish Festival, this performance will take place at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center on Saturday. There will be a matinee performance at 2 p.m. and an evening show at 7:30 p.m. Learn more at brigidpgh.com.
‘Unreconciled’ at barebones productions
Head to Braddock this weekend to see barebones productions’ latest play, “Unreconciled.” The show, written by Jay Sefton and Mark Basquill, is performed by Sefton and directed by Geraldine Hughes.
“Unreconciled” is based on a true story of a trauma survivor’s journey through trauma, a Catholic Church victims’ reparations program and finding his voice. The performance is 80 minutes long.
