Band Blast concert to raise money for NK Memorial Park
New Ken/Arnold Social in the Park will host a benefit concert from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday in New Kensington’s Memorial Park to help raise funds for renovations and repairs to the park. Rain or shine.
Admission is $5. The event features festival seating; bring lawn chairs and blankets. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.
Bands scheduled to appear include Shovel, Johnson’s Crossing, the Rust Project, Magic and Hot Metal Brass, the Tina Daniels Band, Miss Freddye’s Blues Band, The Knockoffs, Heidi and the Hellcats, Big House Pete, Curtis & the Shakerz and Cosmic Attack.
A second stage will host Johnson Acoustics, Bill Forrest, Tom Crytzer, Kirk Thoma, Dan Hartman, Montana Sweitzer, Kari Streib, John Melnick and Brad Kereszturi.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre to perform Sunday at Hartwood Acres
The free 2024 Allegheny County Summer Concert series will feature the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Hartwood Acres Park Amphitheater, 4070 Middle Road, Hampton.
