While the mere thought of cooking dinner for four is enough to provoke a panic attack in some, Molly Fogel, Liz Lappore, Julie Rooney, Rhonda Schuldt and Patty Greist seemed unfazed after cooking for 120 guests of the Fern Hollow Nature Center’s Alfresco Italian Dinner on Aug. 22. “Yesterday, in my kitchen, there were five of us, and today there were three. It’s a labor of love,â€? Marisa Tobias said. The farm-to-table spread was unveiled under the white tents on the 33-acre Sewickley property, sourced from Mediterra Bakehouse, the Dillner and McElhaney Family Farms, Wholey’s Seafood, Clarion River Organics, Enon Valley Garlic, Bergdoll’s, Ann Gillian Sorbets, Sewickley Confectionery and the Italian Garden Project. “No seconds. I could only eat one serving!â€? John Pugh (with Barb) said.
Afterward, the likes of executive director Sam Capezzuto, Robert Wholey, Diane Meakem, John, Eliza and Patrick Rooney, Shelley Murray, and Gary Bauer enjoyed some dancing in the moonlight with Edwardo the Accordionist.
