The carousel of businesses leaving and entering the Village at Pittsburgh Mills in Frazer is gaining another store, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet.

The store plans to open in September, a company official said.

Township Secretary Lori Ziencik verified that the new Ollie’s location will fill the vacant storefront at the former Best Buy store, which now holds PetSmart, America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses and Mattress Warehouse.

Ollie’s spokesman Tom Kuypers did not respond to requests for comment.

With a motto of “Good Stuff Cheap,” Ollie’s is a regional discount chain that sells closeout merchandise, including food, housewares and toys.

Jennie Buynak and her daughter, Jessica of New Kensington, who were shopping at PetSmart on Friday, were excited to learn an Ollie’s would soon be available just a few storefronts away.

“We go to Ollie’s all the time,” Jennie Buynak said. “We go to the one clear out on Route 8.

“I’m very excited. We need one up around here.”

The Frazer location will be the second Ollie’s in the Alle-Kiski Valley. The first store opened in October at Hyde Park Plaza in Allegheny Township.

Other Ollie’s stores in the Pittsburgh area are in Monroeville, Shaler, Butler, West Mifflin, McKeesport and Monaca.

“I think it’s good,” Jessica Buynak said of the new Frazer store. “Ollie’s has a lot of good stuff for a decent price.”
