Robert Morris’ Amarion Dickerson lay tangled with an opponent after blocking his shot while play moved to the other end of the floor.

The Colonials’ Kam Woods dribbled to his left and found an open D.J. Smith in the corner, where Smith swished a 3-pointer, igniting the largest crowd in the final Robert Morris men’s basketball game of the season at UPMC Events Center.

With the regular season rapidly winding down, the excitement has heightened on Robert Morris’ Moon campus with March Madness in sight.

Alvaro Folgueiras went for 17 points and 12 rebounds for his 12th double-double to spark Robert Morris’ 72-59 victory over Milwaukee on Sunday, extend the Colonials’ winning streak to six and give them their 12th victory in the past 13 games.

Robert Morris (22-8, 14-5), enjoying its finest season in the Horizon League since joining in the 2020-21 season, is contending for it first regular-season championship with just a trip to IU Indy on Thursday left.

Dickerson added 16 points, and Smith and Kam Woods finished with 15 apiece for the Colonials, who trailed first-place Cleveland State by a half-game coming in.

Erik Pratt led Milwaukee (19-10, 12-6) with 13 points, and Jamichael Stillwell finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
