Aspinwall reminders

Aspinwall officials want to remind residents of a few borough activities:

• Street sweeping started this month and goes through Dec. 15. The times and days of the week for street sweeping are posted on each street in the borough. Vehicles are to be moved during those times, even if the street sweeper has passed through. Fines for not moving vehicles is $10.

• Trash bins and items to be collected by Shank should be put out after 5 p.m. the night before pickup.

• Residents should properly care for their property, including removal of trash, rubbish and open storage. Buildings, including main structures, sheds, garages and carports, should be in good repair and structurally sound.

Aspinwall alerts can be obtained through the Savvy Citizen app, a free notification system for Apple and Android users that will enable the borough to send information about important news and events directly to residents’ mobile devices. Users would need to download the app and sign up for alerts.

Letters of interest sought for vacancies
