Free event to celebrate Earth Day
The Outdoor Discovery Center at Crooked Creek will host a free Earth Day festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the center, 142 Kerr Road, Bethel Township.
There will be a storyteller, a petting zoo, crafts and activities for children, a mini museum from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and an opportunity to meet with park rangers and the Easter Bunny and more. Food will be sold.
The event is sponsored by the Armstrong County Community Foundation.

Adult egg hunt to benefit local pig rescue
Voodoo Brewing Company in New Kensington will host an adult Easter egg hunt at 4 p.m. April 19 to benefit the Pigsburgh Squealers Rescue at the brewery, 956 Fifth Ave.
Tickets are $25 and include a beverage and chance to win a prize. Some Easter SpokesPigs will be on hand to pose for photos and help to hunt for eggs. Check-in time will start at 3:15 p.m. and there will be no admittance after 4 p.m. Those attending must be 21.
