No injuries were reported after a 125-year-old building partially collapsed Monday in Harrison’s Natrona neighborbood.
The abandoned apartment building at 91 Oak St. started to fall just after 7 p.m. Portions of the rear roof started to cave in, along with sections of the interior.
“That building has been vacant for years,” Harrison police Chief Brian Turack said.
The house sits off Sycamore Street. The chief said it presents no immediate danger.
Harrison officers were assisted by Citizens Hose, Citizens EMS, Hilltop Hose and Pioneer Hose out of Brackenridge.
The multifamily unit was built in 1900.
The area is taped off to keep passersby away. The township’s Zoning and Ordinance Office is investigating.
