Robert Morris’ roster rebuild continued Tuesday night as men’s basketball coach Andy Toole secured a fourth commitment from the transfer portal.

Sophomore power forward Nikolaos Chitikoudis, who played at North Carolina A&T the past two seasons, committed to the Colonials, according to verbalcommits.com.

Chitikoudis averaged 10.8 points and 9.3 rebounds and shot 54% from the field last season.

The 6-foot-9 sophomore forward is a native of East Thessalonki, Greece, who played two seasons at North Carolina A&T, starting 41 of 56 games played.

Robert Morris has also added sophomore point guard Ta’Zir Smith (Louisiana-Monroe), guard Albert Vargas (Southern Connecticut State) and guard/forward Cam Kearney (Clarion) from the portal this offseason.

Nine players left the team to enter the transfer portal — including Amarion Dickerson (Southern Cal) and Horizon League Player of the Year Alvaro Folgueiras (Iowa) — after the Colonials won the Horizon League championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

The transfer portal closed for new entries at midnight Wednesday, though players who are in the portal are still eligible to commit and sign with teams.

Eaglestaff signs with WVU

West Virginia men’s basketball coach Ross Hodge announced the addition of senior guard Treysen Eaglestaff on Tuesday.

Eaglestaff (6-6, 190) averaged 18.9 points and shot 41.6% from the field for North Dakota last season. He also set a Summit League tournament record with 51 points in a win over South Dakota State. The former Mr. Basketball in North Dakota in high school, Eaglestaff played he past three seasons at North Dakota.

“Treysen has the ability to play multiple positions, and his size and skill are a great combination for us,” Hodge said in a statement. “He possesses a passion for improvement and work ethic that will allow him to continue to improve.”

Schmoranzer (6-4, 300), a freshman from Germany, did not play in any games last season and redshirted. He came from North Cross High School in Virginia where he was all-state on offense and defense.
