As a 2020 graduate of the Franklin Regional School District, I am writing to endorse Amy Sheridan for a seat on the school board. During my time at Franklin Regional, I participated in many extracurricular activities that were made possible by the parents who supported them. One of those parents was Sheridan.

She was always present. What stood out to me, however, was that her involvement extended far beyond simply supporting her own children. Whether attending a band concert, musical or other school event, she showed up as more than a parent. She showed up as a caring member of our community.

She was present behind the scenes, fulfilling some of the less-than-glamorous roles. She chaperoned band trips, managed the band uniform room and gave up Saturday mornings to help build sets for our musicals.

If I know anything about Amy Sheridan, it’s that she is deeply invested in Franklin Regional’s students. Her involvement has given her a unique perspective that will allow her to keep students at the center of her decision-making. I believe this perspective and her dedication to FR students will make her a great addition to the school board.
