There has been a shakeup at the top of the power rankings as we are down to one week remaining in the WPIAL baseball and softball regular season.
Pine-Richland falling to Shaler last week in district baseball and Hempfield losing for the first time in a softball showdown against Seneca Valley on Monday has prompted two changes at No. 1.
Plum takes over the top spot in baseball and Neshannock, the team that ended on top in 2024 in softball, is back at No. 1.
That was one of the few changes in the Trib 10 softball ranking this week. The other one was West Allegheny taking a turn at what has become a one and done No. 10 position in the power rankings.
Meanwhile in baseball, Fox Chapel and Seneca Valley slipped out while Shaler and West Mifflin are back in.
Here are the latest power rankings. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking. These weekly rankings have zero classification boundaries.
