The WPIAL softball playoff field is taking shape and currently sits at 65 teams with a week left in the regular season.
The top four teams in each section qualify for the postseason from Class 5A down. In 6A, the top six teams clinch a WPIAL playoff berth.
If there is a tie for the final playoff spot in any section, all of the tied teams advance if they split their head-to-head meetings.
