He struck out nine to run his season total to 36 in 25⅓ innings. RHP Mike Burrows (3.57) followed with three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and fanning five. DH Nick Yorke (.240) went 3 for 5 with his second home run and two RBIs. RF Nick Solak (.387) went 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. C Abrahan Gutierrez (.317) went 2 for 5. CF Billy Cook (.179) went 0 for 3 with two walks, two runs scored and his fourth stolen base.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 12-12) lost a 4-2 decision to Akron (Guardians). RHP Po-Yu Chen (0-2, 2.82) started and went 5⅔ innings, allowing four runs, one earned, on four hits and struck out four. RHP Justin Meis (2.08) gave up a hit and struck out one in 1⅓ innings. RHP Wilkin Ramos (0.00) walked one and surrendered two hits in two shutout innings. DH Jack Brannigan (.244) was 1 for 4 with his second home run of the season, which was the only extra base hit for the Curve. CF Mitch Jebb (.286) smacked an RBI single and 3B Brenden Dixon (.179) and LF Jase Bowen (.279) each hit a single. 2B Termarr Johnson (.244) was 0 for 4 with a pair of flyouts and a pair of popouts. 1B Spencer Horwitz (.125) was 0 for 4 with a strikeout as he works his way back from injury.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 16-8) slammed Winston-Salem (White-Sox), 6-1. SS Javier Rivas (.310) was 2 for 4 with a two-run home run, his seventh, and a single. 1B Geovanny Planchart (.083) was 1 for 4 with his first home run of the year. 3B Kalae Harrison (.132) was 2 for 4 with a pair of singles and an RBI. RF Esmerlyn Valdez (.333) went 1 for 4 with an RBI groundout and a single. C Omar Alfonzo (.273) hit an RBI single and walked. LHP Connor Wietgrefe (.238) started and went four innings, allowing one run on two hits, walking one and striking out two. RHP Sean Sullivan (1-0, 0.00) gave up a hit, walked one and struck out a pair in two innings of relief and earned the win. RHP Landon Tomkins (1.64) gave up a hit in two shutout innings and RHP Michael Walsh (3.18) struck out two and gave up a hit in an inning.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 10-14) held Tampa (Yankees) to just two hits in a 1-0 victory. RHP Peyton Stumbo (6.75) started and went four innings, allowing two hits and striking out five. RHP Greiber Mendez (2-2, 7.43) fanned three, walked three and gave up no hits in two innings to get the win. RHP Noah Takacs (2.31) walked two in the ninth to pick up his second save. The Marauders struck out a total of 15 times, but SS Yordany De Los Santos (.212) provided the only run with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth, his second on the season. DH Konnor Griffin (.253) was 0 for 4 with a pair of strikeouts, CF Braylon Bishop (.239) was 1 for 4 with two strikeouts and a single. 2B Jhonny Severino (.220) was 0 for 4 with three strikeouts.
