Lacrosse tournament to benefit childhood cancer
Deer Lakes Youth Lacrosse will sponsor “Lacrosse Out Cancer,” a charity tournament Sunday at Deer Lakes High School field, West Deer.
Teams from Pine Richland, Franklin Regional, Indiana, Shaler, Penn Trafford, Freeport, Hampton and Deer Lakes will compete. Games will begin at 10 a.m. and there will be food trucks and custom apparel for sale. Proceeds will be donated to Noah’s Legacy Foundation that aids in research and helps families impacted by childhood cancer.
Household donations welcome for Hospitality Homes
The Hospitality Homes division of Allegheny Valley Association of Churches is in need of donations. The entity provides housing to families and individuals who have a disability and are experiencing homelessness.
Items needed include curtain rods, curtains, bath towels, wash towels, paper towels, toilet paper, dryer sheets, laundry detergent, dish detergent and pillows.
