Coach Pat Narduzzi added some more skill to Pitt’s 2026 recruiting class Monday night after getting a verbal commitment from three-star wide receiver Demetrice McCray.
McCray, a junior at Orlando First Academy in Florida, posted his commitment to X.

McCray (6-0, 187) chose the Panthers over offers from Illinois, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, North Carolina and West Virginia, among others.
He is the nation’s No. 143 wide receiver and the No. 109th ranked player in Florida, according to On3Sports.
McCray caught 36 passes for 894 yards and a touchdown in eight games last fall.
McCray is the fifth member of Pitt’s 2026 recruiting class, joining QB Angelo Renda, WR Dylan Wester and safeties Isaac Patterson and Marcus Jennings.
