Fundraisers

• Westmoreland Historical Society will host an antiques and collectibles market May 11 at Historic Hanna’s Town, 809 Forbes Trail Road, Hempfield. Some vendors will be set up and selling May 10, and the remainder will be open from 7:30 a.m. until early afternoon May 11. Admission: $5 per car. A portion of parking revenues benefit the Forbes Road Volunteer Fire Department. The market will be open the second Sunday of each month through October. Meeting

• The Westmoreland County/ Laurel Highlands chapter of the American Field Service high school student exchange program will have the last meeting of the school year at 7 p.m. May 12 at the One Room Schoolhouse on the grounds of AK Hutchinson Elementary School, 810 Welty St., Southwest Greensburg. Students from Italy will present a program and serve refreshments. The club will say goodbye to this year’s exchange students and welcome new host families for the 2025-26 school year. Host families are needed. All types of families are welcome, and they can host for eight weeks, a semester or the whole year. Public welcome. • First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon, 510 Fayette St., will host a gospel music concert featuring the GloryWay Quartet at 6 p.m. May 10 at the church. Donations will be accepted. Details:724-929-7616.

Nature

• The Westmoreland Land Trust will sponsor a free guided bird walk from 8 to 10 a.m. May 10 on the grounds of St. Xavier Nature Preserve, Unity. Ornithologist and author Andy Mack will lead the group. The walk will be on flat, accessible trails with parking available at the preserve headquarters, 106 Xavier Road. Special event

• Shop Greensburg with help from students from the Seton Hill University School of Business and Technology will sponsor a shopping event, “Blooms and Sips: A Mother’s Day Stroll,” from noon to 4 p.m. May 10 in downtown Greensburg. There will be flowers, coupons from local businesses, drinks and shopping. No reservations required. Details:shopgreensburgpa.com.
