Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby led Canada to a 4-0 win against Slovenia in a preliminary round game in the International Ice Hockey Federation’s World Championship tournament at Avicii Arena in Stockholm.

Serving as Canada’s captain, Crosby opened the contest as his team’s second-line center. He did not record a point but had three shots and was 7 for 13 (53.8%) on faceoffs while logging 21:13 of ice time on 24 shifts.
