H. Maxine (Dunmire) Fisher, 90, of Indiana, formerly of Avonmore, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, at The Gardens at Indiana. Born Sept. 14, 1933, in Iselin, she was a daughter of the late Morgan Dunmire and Helen (Shannon) Dunmire. Maxine was a 1951 graduate of Elders Ridge High School, and lived in Iselin, and Avonmore for many years before moving to Indiana. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Avonmore, where Maxine served as a church deacon and was a member and former treasurer of the Women's Circle at the church. She also served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Avonmore, Avonmore Board of Elections, and was a member of the LAL Club. Maxine was an avid reader, enjoyed working on ceramics, watching Hallmark movies, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Robert C. Fisher; and her sisters, Jean Duncan, Mary Kerekes, Betty Coulter, Vivian 'Pete' Dunmire, and Kathy "Kat" Fails. Maxine is survived by her daughters, Lori (Thomas) Green of Avonmore, Linda (Michael) Cramer of Home, Lisa (David) Gabrielcik of North Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Stephanie (Nick Dahlberg) Gabrielcik of Sarasota, FL, Kaitlyn Cramer of Los Angeles, CA, Matthew Green of Avonmore, Jennifer (fiance, Hunter Beining) Gabrielcik of Brackenridge; brother James 'Jim' (Irene) Dunmire of Ridgway; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. Additional viewing will be held in the First Presbyterian Church of Avonmore, 518 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, from 10:00 a.m., until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m., in the church with Pastor Lynn M.
