Casino car cruise
Take a Sunday afternoon trip over to Live Casino Pittsburgh, 5260 Route 30, Greensburg, for its third annual car cruise. Motorists will be showcasing their classic cars from noon to 5 p.m. in the casino parking lot.
There will be prizes for best of show, most unique and people’s choice. Anyone interested in entering their car, truck or motorcycle should register as soon as possible, if space is still available.

The English Channel
The free SummerSounds concert series will be experiencing a British invasion this Friday night. Tribute band The English Channel will perform hits from British bands that have stood the test of time for many decades.
The English Channel has been rocking since 2001, and they have a vast musical repertoire, from the Beatles to Dusty Springfield to ELO and many, many others.
The tunes will begin at 7 p.m. at St. Clair Park in Greensburg, with preshow music by Marty Zundel beginning at 6:15 p.m. To learn more about the band, visit summersounds.com.
Art of Kathy Sobota
Local artist Kathy Sobota has her own exhibition at the Latrobe Art Center, running through Aug. 24. A wide variety of Sobota’s watercolor paintings will be available for view in the exhibition.
An opening reception for the show will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Latrobe Art Center, 819 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Beverages and light bites will be provided by Ricolita’s Café. Sobota will be there to meet attendees.

Festival at Twin Lakes
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region is holding its Summer Fest on Sunday at Twin Lakes Park, Greensburg, at Pavilion 7 at the Lower Lake.
Admission is free and open to the public with a lot of fun activities, games, food trucks and concessions, live entertainment and more. All-day passes, which include premium activities, a T-shirt and a hot dog meal, are available for $25. Live music and DJs will bring the tunes throughout the afternoon.

U2 tribute
Visit The Lamp Theatre in Irwin this Saturday night for a tribute to Irish rock superstars U2. Rattle and Hum, the ultimate U2 tribute band, will be playing all of their greatest hits from the past four decades.
