Mary A. (Churik) Lucas, 99, of Allegheny Township, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at Ligonier Gardens. A daughter of the late Ignac Churik and Mary (Stano) Churik, she was born on Oct. 10, 1924, in West Leechburg. Mary was a homemaker who had also worked as a secretary for Aluminum City Terrace in New Kensington until the day her first child was born. She was an active member of Christ The King Parish in Gilpin Township and the former St. Martha Catholic Church in Leechburg where she was an alum of the 'baking ladies' for the church. Mary enjoyed reading, watching game shows, Little Debbie cakes, diet coke, and listening to Danny O'Donnel as some of her favorite pastimes. Survivors include her daughter, Eileen Blystone (Ronald) of West Leechburg; her son, Paul Lucas (Valerie) of Ligonier; grandchildren, Joseph McLeod (Annette) of Pittsburgh, Christopher Blystone (Amy) of Harrison City, Lilly Blystone of Harrison City; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Anthony V. 'Kipe' Lucas in 2008; and siblings, Cecilia Magdik (Charles), Ann Mac (Fred), and Joe Churik (Dorothy). Friends will be welcomed by her family on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051. Parting Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 10, followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at Christ The King Church, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Township, with the Rev.
