Bakerstown Alliance Church is hosting its second annual free live nativity and chili dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 17 on the church grounds. The animals featured in the live nativity are part of a petting zoo, providing children and other guests with the opportunity to interact with them. A free chili and cornbread meal will be served to all guests in a heated outdoor tent in the lower church parking lot. “Bakerstown Alliance Church is committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with our community,” said Pastor Jack Scheid. “We are excited to bring the nativity scene to life again this year and hope to see you there.” The live nativity will be set up at the church pavilion. A 15-minute re-enactment of the birth of Jesus will happen several times during the two-hour event. This is not a drive-through event. Guests can walk up to the nativity scene and greet the animals that are part of the show. Free parking is available in the parking lot (bus depot) that is adjacent to the church grounds. “Bakerstown Alliance Church is a vibrant community of faith,” said Pastor Scheid. “It is our mission and vision to live and love like Jesus and to continue to find new ways to serve our community. This live nativity event is one of many community outreach efforts we have undertaken this year, and we look forward to continuing to serve our neighbors in 2023.” Bakerstown Alliance is located at 4030 Bakerstown Road, Gibsonia.
