Michael E. Mochar, 64, of Rillton, passed away, Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born April 18, 1960, in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Geraldine (Robinson) Mochar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Missy Abbott, and two sisters, Roxanne (Tom) McAdams and Sharon Mitchell. Mike was a 1979 graduate of Yough High School. He was Catholic by faith and a God-fearing man. Prior to his retirement, he was an auto body technician for more than 30 years. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, enjoyed listening to the oldies, gardening, and was a car enthusiast. He loved to host parties for his family and friends, doing all the cooking. His favorite pastime was playing pool. He was a member of the APA, TAP, and YOUGH Pool Leagues. He had so many nicknames, Papa Moe, Moch, and Uncle Stumpy. Most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, which were his pride and joy. Mike is survived by his long-life companion of 30 years and love of his life, Sandy Abbott; his son, John (Lindsey) Mochar of McKeesport; daughter, Mary Davis of McKeesport; six special grandchildren, Olivia, Jordan, Malik, Demeer, Della, and Lexie; his brother, Joseph (Karen) Mochar of Irwin; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who will dearly miss their 'Uncle Stumpy." He is also survived by his beloved dog Snow, who meant the world to him. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends near and far.
