Five North Charleroi girls who left a foster home in the Latrobe area were in the custody of Washington County Children and Youth Services officials late Wednesday. The girls – ages 2 to 17 – walked into the City of Uniontown police station Wednesday, according to WPXI-TV, The Valley Independent's news partner. Uniontown police confirmed to The Valley Independent that four Dainty family sisters, Brittney, 17; Danielle, 14; Cassie, 11; and Hannah, 7, were interviewed in the city station by state police from the Greensburg Barracks. A fifth girl, Neveah, 2, also was there. She is the daughter of Brittney Dainty. State police issued a statement late Wednesday that the children had been located. Charleroi Regional Police confirmed the children reside at the home of Lisa Dainty at 333 Pennsylvania Ave. in North Charleroi. According to Detective Lt. Eric Porter and Officer Bill Gardner, police were called to the residence Monday after Lisa Dainty allegedly violated a protection from abuse order. Lisa Dainty remained in the Washington County Correctional Facility on Wednesday evening after failing to post $25,000 cash bond. Police said Washington County Children and Youth Services workers removed the girls from the home. Porter and Gardner said Charleroi Regional officers searched several area residences Wednesday but did not locate the girls. Police said the girls were placed in the foster home Tuesday evening by Washington County Children & Youth Services but left about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
