William Scott Kiser, 62, of Tarentum, passed away July 8, 2024. He was a member of the Laborers Union 1058 for 18 years. For a man who wasn't fond of heights, he helped on the construction of a multitude of bridges and roads in the area. If you are traveling Route 19 and crossover Route 910, Scott helped build that. If you travel Route 910 and crossover the PA Turnpike in Indiana Township, Scott helped build that while his partner, String, napped in the woods. If you cross over the Freeport bridge, give Scott a shout out, he helped build that. The past 15 years, he worked for Sacon Construction doing concrete work. He hated it and loved it at the same time. Just as he hated his co-workers, but loved them all the same time. Scott was a quiet man and always put 100% into any project or job he was working on. He got along with most everyone he worked with and made some lifelong friends along the way. The past few years, Scott decided to become a 'biker.' His first bike was a Harley Sportster, which he would ride locally with his brother in arms, Tommy Froncek. After Tommy's passing, Scott bought his bike, a Harley Heritage. He couldn't stand the carbureted engine, so he upgraded to his latest, a 2016 Harley Street Glide. This was his baby. He just couldn't wait to put in for his retirement to work a little, but ride a lot. But God had other plans, and we know he is with Tommy, riding for an eternity, blasting the stereo to some of his favorite songs, like "Thunderstruck" and "Simple Man," because that's what he was. A a song he loved which really described Scott would be, "A Country Boy Can Survive." A message to Scott would be, remember Scott, you have to let your "SoulShine," another one of his favorite songs. His last song in the end played to him was Linda Ronstadt's "Goodbye My Friend." Now Scott, you will be forever a "Free Bird." Surviving him are significant other, Frances DiPasquale; son, Scott Kiser of Tarentum; daughters, Nicole Kiser of New Kensington and Jessica Kiser of Tarentum; brothers, Robert (Pat) Kiser of Allegheny Township and Charles Kiser of Lower Burrell; sister, Kelly (Kurt) Wagner; three grandchildren; and one nephew, Kauner. A Celebration of Life Memorial for friends and family will be announced at a later date. Funeral services entrusted to THE CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC. www.jarviefuneralhome.com
