Catherine C. (Kopcho) Wilk, 96, of Latrobe, passed away on Friday, Aug. 9,2024. Born March 31, 1928, in Calumet, she was a daughter of the late Mickey and Christina (Studlick) Kopcho. Catherine was a member of the Holy Family Rosary Society, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 515, County Council, and the Kingston Veterans and Sportsmen Auxiliary. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Wilk Sr.; two sons, Raymond D. and John A. Wilk; a daughter, Lauren C. Stough; a grandson, Sean Dennehy; a great-great-grandson Remington Stewart Holzapfel; six brothers, Jacob, Michael, William, John, Isadore and Joseph Kopcho; and three sisters, Anna Pingor, Martha Frye and Mary Ann Cherep. Catherine is survived by one son, Henry A. Wilk Jr. and friend Jennifer, of Derry; two daughters, Patricia Holzapfel and her husband Francis, of Cicero, NY, and Nancy Vesely and her husband Thomas V., of Latrobe; ten grandchildren, Ann, Kathy, Francis Jr., Melissa, Tim, Jennifer, Matthew, Victoria, Sherrie, and Susan; 25 great-grandchildren, Nick, Andrew, Samantha, Brianna, Gabrielle, Alexa, Raymond, Ivy, Amara, Zipporah, Travis, Garrett, Shawn, Conner, McKenna, Hudson, Donnaly, Autumn, Kayley, Jack, Liam, Jolene, Jayln, Barry Jr., and Alex; four great-great-grandchildren, Donovan, Dominic, Corrigan, Callen, Alex Jr., and Sofia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAH HOME, LLC., 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Holy Family Church with the Rev. E. George Saletrik as celebrant. Private interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.
