Brayden Long hit Mike Solomon with an 11-yard touchdown pass with 12 seconds left to lead No. 9 Slippery Rock to a wild, 33-32 PSAC win over IUP on Saturday afternoon.

Karst Hunter connected with Hilton Ridley on a 10-yard touchdown pass with 1:35 to play to give IUP a 32-27 lead.

Long went 22 for 31 for 205 yards and three touchdowns for Slippery Rock (5-0, 2-0). Chris D’Or ran for 88 yards and a touchdown and Kylon Wilson had six catches for 92 yards and a score.

Hunter threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 113 yards and another score for IUP (4-1, 1-1). Maurice Massey caught five passes for 99 yards and a touchdown.

Cal (Pa.) 31, Clarion 27 – David Black threw a pair of touchdown passes in the final five minutes – a 23-yarder to Omari Hopkins with 4:07 left and a 35-yarder to Demonte Martin with 56 seconds to go – to lead Cal (Pa.) (4-1, 3-0) to a PSAC win. Black threw for 422 yards and three touchdowns and Martin caught seven balls for 189 yards. Anthony Guercio threw for 205 yards and ran for 66 yards and a score and Trevon Tate caught five passes for 127 yards for Clarion (2-4, 0-2).

Gannon 23, Seton Hill 17 – Jayden Whitaker threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns and added 87 rushing yards as Gannon (1,4, 1-1) defeated Seton Hill (2-3, 1-1) in the PSAC. Bryson Costa kicked three field goals for Gannon. Ky’Ron Craggette ran for 165 yards and caught six passes for 30 yards for Seton Hill.

Division III

Carnegie Mellon 42, Waynesburg 0 – Ben Mills went 23 for 26 passing for 232 yards and two scores, becoming the school’s all-time touchdown pass leader with 58, to lead Carnegie Mellon (5-0, 5-0) to a PAC win. Will Squibb caught nine passes for 128 yards and a score and Ethan Ming returned a blocked punt 5 yards for a touchdown. Zayne Cawley ran for 144 yards for Waynesburg (1-4, 1-4).

Case Western 58, Allegheny 14 – Noah Coyne caught four passes for 130 yards and Dylan Cave added five receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns as Case Western (4-0, 4-0) downed Allegheny (1-4, 1-4) in PAC play. Alex Fromberg tossed for 286 yards and two touchdowns for Case Western, which outgained Allegheny, 527-153. Christian Coudr threw for 113 yards and a touchdown for Allegheny.

Geneva 16, Saint Vincent 13 – David Reid ran for 78 yards and two 1-yard touchdowns as Geneva (2-3, 2-3) beat Saint Vincent (1-4, 1-4) in a PAC matchup. Noah Hutcherson and Nicholas Ciriel recorded 11 tackles each and Cameron Smith had an interception for Geneva’s defense, which held Saint Vincent to 189 yards. Luke Levendosky threw for 80 yards and ran for 44 yards for Saint Vincent.

Grove City 62, Bethany 22 – Nico Flati ran for 155 yards and four touchdowns to carry Grove City (4-0, 4-0) to a PAC win. Logan Pfeuffer was 6 for 12 passing for 172 yards and two scores and Scott Fraser had three catches for 130 yards and two TDs. Ray Adames caught eight passes for 198 yards and touchdowns of 88, 72 and 14 yards for Bethany (0-4, 0-4). Brett Phillips threw for 380 yards, three TDs and two interceptions.

Washington & Jefferson 21, Westminster 14 – In a PAC matchup, Jacob Pugh threw for 248 yards and two touchdowns as Washington & Jefferson (4-1, 4-1) beat Westminster (3-1, 3-1). Justin Johns recorded 16 tackles, including 10 solo, for the Presidents’ defense. Ryan Gomes ran for 73 yards and a touchdown for Westminster.

Division I FCS

Mercyhurst 55, Buffalo State 0 – Adam Urena threw for 305 yards and six touchdowns as Mercyhurst (2-4) downed Buffalo State (2-2). Cameron Barmore caught six passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns for the Lakers, which outgained Buffalo State, 573 yards to 166 yards.

St. Francis (Pa.) 28, Delaware State 17 – Markell Holman ran for 182 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the go-ahead score with under five minutes left, to lead St. Francis (PA) to a nonconference win.

St. Francis drove 94 yards in 13 plays with Jeff Hoenstine tossing to Gavin Thomson from a yard out with 5:38 left in the game to make it 17-14 Delaware State. Less than a minute later, Holman broke free for a 30-yard go-ahead score. Holman ran 55 yards for the game’s final score with just over a minute left.

Hoenstine was 10-of-18 passing for 117 yards and two touchdowns for the Red Flash (2-3). Marqui Adams completed 18 of 29 passes for 138 yards for Delaware State (1-5).
