As a child she would play in her grandmother's in- home salon pretending to do hairstyles and learning about all the different tools she had. Chrissy enrolled in vo-tech at Northern Westmoreland Career & Technology Center in New Kensington while in high school and got her first salon job as an assistant learning the ropes of the industry. She graduated high school with her cosmetology license and went on to Newport Business School to earn an associate's degree in business management while working as a stylist at a salon. Coming from a family of self-employed mentors she always knew she would have her own salon. Chrissy's Cuts, Color, & Curls proudly opened the doors in October 2005 eager to welcome all into a relaxed, family environment with an everyone knows everyone vibe. We have a wonderful staff of 5 stylists. Lori has been with the salon since we opened in 2005. Chrissy and Lori have been best friends since 4th grade. She is dedicated to her career offering the upmost quality in haircare and service to each of her clients. Stephanie joined our team in 2017. She attended cosmetology with Chrissy at Northern Westmoreland and they worked together previously at Chrissy's first job. Stephanie offers precision haircutting and coloring to fit each of her client's based on their needs. Kristy has over 10 years in the industry also getting her education locally at Northern Westmoreland. She is married to Chrissy's nephew. Kristy offers a variety of services including her new specialty of Henna Brows and Brow Lamination as well as cutting, coloring. pedicure, and waxing services. Naomi started with Chrissy's as an assistant at just 15! Naomi went on to beauty school at Northern Westmoreland and has grown into a very busy and talented stylist. She offers modern coloring techniques and specializes in lash extensions. Chrissy loves to hire students from the local beauty schools as assistants and help them with the opportunity to grow in to stylists. The last 18 years have been a joy growing our salon in to an amazing community of people. In 2020 we added a women's clothing boutique to our salon. Word of mouth, quality service, knowledgeable stylists have given us success. We are very excited to continue our journey and soon be able to create amazing looks in our new 2400 sq. ft. building in the New Kensington business district. Chrissy's husband Wade has been working so hard to remodel and create a beautiful future space on Caldwell Ave. We can't wait to continue our journey in our own building that has a huge parking lot and other businesses nearby! We look forward to meeting new future clients and team members. We look to expand our service menu even more to include an esthetician and massage therapist.
