RSVP is a national volunteer organization that offers meaningful and exciting volunteer opportunities for individuals age 55 and older so that they can give back to the community and to help neighbors in need. RSVP tries to match volunteer's interests with community needs. The opportunities are as diverse as our volunteers themselves. RSVP also provides the individual with supplemental accident and liability insurance, recognition event and the satisfaction of making a difference in the community.

Every day, countless RSVP volunteers tutor struggling students, drive homebound seniors to medical appointments or grocery shopping, counsel Medicare recipients, help adults improve their literacy skills, read to Head Start preschoolers, lead tours at museums, deliver meals on wheels, staff hotlines, knit or crochet, staff food banks and so much more.
Volunteers choose to serve daily, weekly, monthly or on special projects.
RSVP is sponsored locally by the Westmoreland County Community College. RSVP strives to improve lives, strengthen communities and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.
