Courage is what it also takes to sit down and listen." p Chief Jason Bonace, who embodies the above quote, took the oath of office on August 18th after his appointment was confirmed unanimously by Penn Hills Council. Chief Bonace was chosen to serve upon the retirement of outgoing Chief Ron Como, who honorably served in the department for 29 years. As Chairman of the Police Advisory Board, he represented his fellow officers and their support of him was abundantly evident as they filled Council Chambers, along with his family, friends and residents, for his swearing in ceremony as acting chief. We share in congratulating Chief Bonace and wishing him continued success in serving the community with his great leadership and dedication to Penn Hills!
