H The Municipality of PENN HILLS A HOME RULE COMMUNITY Caller: "Hello. I'm calling from the school. Your daughter is having a rough day. I think you should come and take her home." There is a pause while the person on the other end says something. Caller: "I know, I'm the teacher. But come on, please pick me up, mom." Mayor's Message By Mayor Pauline Calabrese Although it seems like the new school year is right around the corner, there is still plenty of fun happening in Penn Hills. SummerFest took place on August 5th, complete with games, bounce houses, free kids' area, crafters, live bands and food trucks. The event was topped off with a spectacular Zambelli Fireworks Show. The SummerFest Committee is comprised of John Scaglione, Stephanie Strauss and Greg Drayer. But the day would not have been possible without the hard work and efforts of Penn Hills Department of Public Works staff, Penn Hills Park and Rec staff, Penn Hills Police Department and Penn Hills EMS. Special thanks go to all of our local community groups and businesses that participated this year. Youth athletic groups participated, providing information and the opportunity to register for the Fall/Spring 2023-2024 season.
