They don't exist. H MAYOR CALABRESE The "Animal Control Contract" is coming up for renewal in January, 2025. Before entering into the contract for this public health and safety service, Penn Hills Council and I wanted to get input from residents. We had our first open forum on the issue on Monday, September 9th. At the meeting, which was very well attended, 20 residents signed up to be on the Penn Hills Animal Welfare Task Force. The task force is in the process of scheduling more meetings. We want to improve this service for the health and safety of our residents and for the welfare and humane treatment of lost pets and stray animals. During these last dog days of summer, after Shiloh took Mayor Calabrese for a spin around the neighborhood, the two enjoy a cool treat. Shiloh the dog said, "I'm not overweight. I'm just a little Husky".
